Stroller Running

The ultimate “Me” time.

There is so much I have to say on stroller running. In short, if you are debating buying a triple stroller, do it. You can do it. It won’t be easy, it won’t be light — mine weighs 60 lbs empty, add weight of 3 kids and it’s currently at ~160 lbs total — but it will be worth it. I went back and forth for months before finally making the leap from my double to triple and it was the best decision ever.

If you have any questions, recommendations, or tips on any question pertaining to stroller running please ask. I have run with a single, double, triple and many different brands.

Here’s a link to just a few of my posts on running with a stroller, racing with a stroller, even an ode to stroller running:

Suffice it to say I am crazy about stroller running. It was a long time coming and I never would have pinned myself for a stroller-loving-running mama, but I also never would have imagined my afternoons would be spent dressing up in tiara’s belting it out to “Let it Go!” with three littles beside me. So is life, a great bundle of surprises!

  1. Hi Caitlin ,
Do you have any recommendations for brands of running strollers or resources for used running strollers? I have a friend with a special needs young adult son looking to try a stroller for him as she does her training runs. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated!

    • Hi Sharon – Craigslist is a great resource for used strollers.. I have bought 2 of mine from there with great luck and at great prices! Bob is the absolute best of all stroller brands I’ve tried. The Bob ironman is for serious running.. the only issue is that the seat height may be too short for an adult. I’d say go into REI or some other high end sports store and try out a few for fit, then look on Craigslist for used models. Let me know if you have any other questions!
